If it can be done, do it. If it can’t, think of a way it can!
This website started as “My Life on Two Wheels,” and as I progressed into different activities, I believe it is only fitting to give them the respect they deserve. With over 40 years of professional and recreational experience, I love being able to pass along information about great companies that fit into an outdoor lifestyle. I have hands-on experience with every product, service, and location I post here. Some companies send me products to test; others are products I buy that I feel can benefit my outdoor needs. However, it’s not all about product or service reviews! You’ll find information on different places to go, rides I have ridden, rivers I have floated, and my experiences at each. I’ll show you how to get things done and on the cheap. You’ll watch as I succeed and fail, laugh, and cry–but remember, it’s about the adventure and the smile you come away with!

I love being able to pass on information about great companies, products, and services that fit into an outdoor lifestyle to my fellow adventurers. I have a very attentive group of folks who trust that I have put the products through rigorous paces and that my opinions are genuine and authentic to the experience–good or bad. I am a proactive blogger. I don’t just sit back and wait for the internet to find me; I seek out potential customers for you through live Events, Gatherings, Communities, Groups, and Forums.
As a cyclist: I have been riding for over 30 years both professionally and recreationally, on the road and in the dirt. My professional career started in Big Bear Lake, CA racing the NORBA Circuit with GT Bicycles and other companies like Bullet USA, Qranc USA, TWP and many others. It was an exciting time and gave me massive insight into the culture and corporate side of the industry. Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, I try to ride every weekend and get away at least once a month to somewhere epic. I ride my road or cross bike on the local roads and Greenways. As a bike mechanic, I try to help other cyclists learn about wrenching on their bikes through free private/public workshops.
As a kayaker: I have experienced the raging whitewater of the Colorado Rocky rivers and the flats of Inland Florida and the Oceans of the Gulf and the Atlantic. Growing up in San Diego, CA I have spent almost all my free time on the water surfing, boarding, and snorkeling.
As a hiker and backpacker: I love being in the mountains and hiking, backpacking, bikepacking, kayaking, and packing with horses! As an avid adventurer and photographer, I have been blessed to explore mountain ranges from coast to coast. I began horse-packing as a young adult, and today, I’m more addicted than ever. But no matter how much area I explore, my biggest joy is sharing my experiences with others!

About the Affiliate Links – My Promise
Marketing is in my blood – most of my friends know that. However, the reason it works for me is that it works for the companies I recommend – it’s that simple. There are many sites out there that have more irrelevant ads than content – DELETE! Then some sites will automatically build and load content with tons of links to different products, mostly unrelated to the content – DELETE!
You will NOT find that on this site – we’ll leave it for this guy! I have a great day job, this is not part of my income. Besides at the 1-4% affiliates pay, it would take a bazillion visitors to make a significant financial impact. It’s just not going to happen.
So why do it at all?
It’s fun, and I enjoy helping fellow adventures! Also, I occasionally get free products directly from brands for my reviews and trips, so that’s a perk.
Most of the links are to Amazon and are of products I bought, but some cases it’s necessary to link back to the brand. I’ll link to the individual company site, and don’t use affiliate links to do so. This way you get more information and the ability to ask additional questions, it’s more critical that get you the right information directly from the horse’s mouth.
My promise to you.
All the links to products and services are from the products and services I have used whether I purchased them or a Brand sent it to me. Be it a good or bad experience; I’ll still post the link because my experience may differ from your experience. I always give an honest and descriptive opinion without holding back, maybe not politically correct either, just raw and unfiltered. When looking at a product or service, I look for excellent build quality and durability, ease of use, and most importantly, company/person support. There are many good products out there, but if the service, employee, or owner is “not nice” I do not use them and thus will not recommend them!
