LIVING THE OUTDOOR LIFE
LIVING THE OUTDOOR LIFE
Wild Trails Outdoors is a focused continuation of a long-running outdoor lifestyle journal originally written as The Outdoor Life blog. Same voice. Same field experience. A clearer trail forward.
This space is where hiking boots, bike tires, paddles, and campfires tell the story of a life spent outside. It is shaped by years of firsthand exploration and grounded in a simple outdoor lifestyle built around hiking, biking, paddling, and camping.
Here you will find articles, photos, and videos drawn from real time on trails, rivers, and backroads. Practical guidance, honest observations, and lessons learned the slow way. From winding bike routes and quiet coves to backcountry trails and remote campsites, this work is meant to help you explore with confidence and intention.
Wild Trails Outdoors exists to focus that original outdoor lifestyle into what I live and share most. Human-powered adventure. Quiet places. Time outside that clears the noise. Everything here is about passing along what works, what lasts, and what matters when you choose life beyond the pavement.
Now is your time to live the outdoor life!

The Best Miles Are the Shared Ones
The outdoors has a way of changing when you share it with someone else. The pace softens, the moments stretch, and what you remember most is never the miles or the gear. It is the people you meet along the way.

🌲 Trail Prayer – Proverbs 3:5–6 🌲
“Lord, I trust You with all my heart as I step onto this trail.
I will not lean only on my own strength or understanding,
but in every path, river, and mountain road, I submit the journey to You.
Guide my steps, straighten my path,
and keep me safe beneath Your watchful eye.
Wherever this trail leads, may I walk it with courage,
knowing You go before me, beside me, and behind me. Amen.”
Proverbs 3:5–6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
For the adventurer like you, it reads almost like a trail guide:
- “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” Don’t just rely on maps, gear, or your own strength; rely on Him.
- “Lean not on your own understanding.” Trails twist and turn, life throws surprises, but God sees the whole path.
- “In all your ways submit to him.” Every trail, trip, or decision, big or small, acknowledges His hand in it.
- “He will make your paths straight.” He clears the obstacles, points the direction, and gets you safely where you need to be.
