Projects need a place to be built!
I have been asked several times about my garage workbench and how I came up with the idea. After working on plastic tables for years, I sat down one Saturday and tried to imagine my ideal workbench.
A great workbench needs to comfortably “fit” in any workspace, whether in a garage or workshop. It needed to be a sturdy and organized surface for a wide range of tasks, from woodworking and metalworking to assembling intricate projects. With the right design, I wanted it to enhance efficiency by keeping parts, pieces, and tools within easy reach, offering ample space to work comfortably, and providing durability to withstand heavy use, including my climbing on top. It needed to be a very well-built workbench and more than just a table—a foundation for productivity, precision, and creativity.
